you may have given up on a response already but here goes. chroming spokes would likely be more costly than new ones from Central wheel UK . I buy from Waldrige but there may be other aftermarket outlets you deal with. I have some times bought new nipples and wire wheeled the spokes and coated with caliper paint, but then I do my own lacing so its not a big deal to replace them if they take a beating.

The home built chair is 1" ash frame with 1/4 ply (aircraft spruce on the tight bends), covered with fi/glass cloth and a coat of resin. The canopy I had made by Rainbow auto fitted over a pair of collapsible hoops. stashes in the boot when not in use. Brake on chair wheel from a 4 wheel ATV. forks earls type home made.   dash hinges up, and a side door allows the ladies to enter discreetly.........

a pair of poor chrome stauntions bent to suit, with pivot bushes inserted and bronzed into the ends, (use the nickle silver rod with gas flux and DH2000 torch) same as my race bikes. swing arm modified to suit from salvage. This is likely a repeat but worth mentioning again. The aim is to end up with about the same negative trail as the average car, 1/2" this is how you avoid fighting to keep it going straight. A solo has around 3" positive trail, put a chair on it and it is trying to castor back around like a shopping cart. If in doubt "too strong never broke".
