Forgot your login password?
When you became a CVMG member, or registered for an event as a non-member, you will have received a confirmation email like this.
Forgot the email address in your member profile?
If you don't have the email, or you have forgotten your password, use the following steps to reset it:
Click the login icon in the upper right corner (it's the green/blue head and shoulders of a person). then click "Forgot password". We will immediately send an
email to the email address in your profile. Click on the link in the
email to reset your password. Click here to see more information on password requirements.
If you don't receive an email:
- check the SPAM or Junk mail folders, it may have gone there
- make sure you are checking the email id registered in your member profile
- Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are still having problems
- Send an email email@example.com to have your email id sent to you.
You must be logged onto the system to see this option.
Click the login icon in the upper right corner (it's the green/blue head and shoulders of a person).
Your name, "View Profile" and "Change Password" can be seen in the upper right corner of your screen. Click on "View profile".
Under "View Profile" you can renew
or change your membership level, "Edit" your information on your
member profile page, change your privacy settings, e-mail notification
settings and create a photo album.

Renew your Membership
following describes the online payment process for membership
renewals. New membership applications and other payments work

The Process starts by clicking the Renew button found under the "Membership" in the menu bar. You will see this screen next.
Click on the Renew Online button or follow the instructions to renew by mail.
Update your member profile and
click Update and next
This takes you to a confirmation screen
Check the information.
To pay now, click Pay Online
To pay now, click Pay online
You can also choose to pay later, or pay with a cheque instead of paying online. Clicking Invoice me shows this screen.
The reminder in the lower right corner will stay each time you login to the CVMG website until the invoice is fully paid.
Buy and Sell
You can view the Buy and Sell page without being a member. In order to post an item for sale or wanted, you must be a member and logged into the system. The "How To" page contains more information on posting in the Buy and Sell.
You can post photos on the website if you are logged on as a member.
They can be posted in 2 ways:
- directly in an album associated with your profile, which can be seen if people click on your name. or
can be posted on an external site, but links will show them on the CVMG
website. This is especially useful for photos associated with forum or

CVMG offers 2 payment options: cheque or Visa/MasterCard credit card. We don't offer e-transfer because of the extra security controls and cost.
by a Canadian credit card when outside the country is usually
successful however, there are a few cases where our card processor's
fraud detection security decides to block the transaction. It depends
on several factors including the country you're in, the accuracy of the
home address you type in on the confirmation screen, etc. It also helps
if you're using an actual computer (laptop or desk model) connected to
the internet via a home or hotel network and not a tablet or mobile
you pay by credit card, you need to accurately provide the credit card
info, the billing address for the credit card you're using and an email
address. If you receive a message similar to this, carefully check all
the information and try one more time. It has been our experience of late that people often fail to include a space between the first 3 characters of the postal code and the last 3 characters. This will give you an error and your payment will not go through.
Make an online payment as follows (click on any image to enlarge):
- Login to the CVMG website
(see topic above for help in logging in)
- Click Pay online
- OR, click the invoice reminder (bottom right corner) or View profile (top right)
- fill in the information from your MasterCard or Visa credit card
- note the information has to be the same as it appears on your credit card account
- click Pay
- you will be returned to the website
