Dear fellow enthusiasts,
I am getting this 1956 Triumph TRW ready for road. This is a points ignition model with 12 volt conversion. Here are few observations and questions with photos.
1. What spark plugs are best? Currently it has a set of NGK B6HS.
2. The ignition switch has 3 position: IGN, Center, and EMG. What is the function of EMG position? I noticed turning to EMG position made massive current running through the wiring. It almost burned the connecting wires to the battery.
3. The bike started but ran rough. I checked the spark plugs and only the left cylinder seems to be firing. As the photo shows, the right plug seems to be almost new. Both plugs product nice spark when engine is turned. So it appears there is either no compression in right cylinder or a stuck valve. Any other thoughts?
I appreciate your help.
