    POST, Franklin

    1949 – 2025
It is with great sadness we announce Mr. Franklin Melville Post passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the age of 76 years. Franklin was born on July 29, 1949 at Selkirk, Manitoba to Clarence Robert Post and Olive Irene Truthwaite. Franklin moved to Banff, Alberta and then to Calgary. He worked for the Lake Louise Resort as a Power Engineer for a few years and then went to the Olymel Plant in Red Deer until his retirement. His favourite bike was his Philippine tricycle which he rode around Lacombe and vicinity with joy and pride. All of those who knew Franklin will remember him for his happy demeanor, genuine friendship, his attachment to motorcycles and above all, his devotion to his wife, Mila. A Celebration of Franklin’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
