    TAYLOR, Ronald (Ron)

    1945 - 2021

It was with great sadness that NORAL members learned of the passing of Ron Taylor. Ron was a very active member of NORAL, organizing rides, participating in shows, playing guitar at our Xmas parties, restoring motorcycles and helping members with information for their projects. Always with a smile.

Ron passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on December 11, 2021. He was doing what he loved, playing music on stage.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sandy of 51 years; son Dan (Candice); daughter Kelly (Rick); granddaughters Courtney, Beth, and Sarah; sister Joan; sister-in-law Lynn (Roy); nieces, and many dear friends.

Ron had a deep passion for all things music; from singing, songwriting, and playing guitar, to organizing open mic events and performing duties as a sound technician. His other great passion was motorcycles; from rebuilding vintage motorcycles to riding them across country. Above all he loved spending time enjoying life to its fullest with his adoring family and circle of wonderful friends. He had a master's degree in Health Services Administration and worked for Alberta Health Services for many years, and then as a career consultant before retiring to focus on travel, playing music, and motorcycles. He supported his friends and family in all aspects of their lives and was a devoted grandpa to his three loving granddaughters, who learned so much from him.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held January 8, 2022, at the Parkview Community League, 9135 146 St. NW from 1 - 3 p.m. The restrictions exemption program is in effect at the venue.

Ron's family is sincerely grateful to those at JT's Bar and Grill for their quick, compassionate response, as well as the first responders and the staff of the Grey Nuns Hospital emergency department.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one's choice.
