Trying to get Vintage insurance

I have been with Dalton Timmis ( now NFP) for 20 years for coverage on my ‘69 Norton Commando. Last year I suffered a severe knee injury and was in hospital for a month with 2 surgeries followed by months of convalescence. Needless to say, I could not ride.
NFP is saying that because of the gap in coverage I will not be covered. Further, they require an appraisal, which I got based purely on a visual inspection by a reputable bike shop. It is a single page statement. NFP says they want 8-12 pages of details even down to the parts on the bike and that my appraisal does not cut it. Curiously, my friend sent them a similar 1 page appraisal on a bike valued at $30K and it was accepted. They state that regardless of the reason for the gap , coverage is doubtful.
here I am begging them to allow me to pay them money for the occasional outing on a sunny day during the 4 months riding season we get.

I was going to reinsure with them. They told me unless it was a cvmg event, I couldn't even go for a sunday ride . So that was that.

Check with Mitchell and Whale (brokers) they write for Wawanesa, you will get it cheaper and better coverage. Just Google them.
