I want leads to wherer I can buy a Velocette Thruxton, that is in good condition and safely ridable. I'm realistic and know they are not cheap to buy, especially a good one. Send any information you have on the availability of a Thruxton.

In the dying days of Velocette a  Velocette dealer in Cornwall Ontario snagged the last 20 ? or so Thruxtons from the factory. A. few years later I found serial # VMT1198C , the thirteenth from the last one made.. I rode it for a few years and then sold it to a chap in Vancouver. It was a great bike in all aspects. The last ones had coil ignition and a large concentric carb. It was a breeze to start. Red line was 6200 rpm but It seemed to like 6800 and I somewhat foolishly would take it up that high . It made glorious sounds.I know the very last one was bought by a chap the other side of Toronto. He told me when he got home and opened the crate Bateman had sold him the third last one so he took it back  to exchange it because of the "error" LOL
