    1966  Bultaco Mercurio 175cc.  Model 13.

A classic 2 stroke road bike and little brother to the famous 250cc Metralla, winner of the 1967 Isle of Man TT.  This bike is the North American version of the European Model 9 Mercurio.

This is a restoration using as much of the original machine as possible, only replacing parts that couldn’t be renewed or were missing.  It has matching motor and frame numbers.  The motor and clutch were rebuilt and it has been rebored with a Mahle OEM piston.   A new 26mm Mikuni carb has been installed using a shortened intake manifold and the original air cleaner.  The standard Amal 376-25 with all new jetting (except for the slide and sleeve) is included.  The carb will need fine tuning for best performance. The paint and pinstriping is custom using the original paint codes.  The fork tubes were re-chromed and new seals installed.

The bike comes with full documentation including the original Bill of Sale, Registration/Ownership, Professional Appraisal, Owner’s Manual, supplier information and spares.  It is currently licensed and insured in Ontario.  It would be a great addition for a collector of unique motorcycle marques or for an enthusiastic vintage two stroke rider.

    Location: Toronto, Ontario

    Price: $4,000

What a beautiful restoration !  I love Bultacos. I had  a 250 and a 200 Metralla. They both went like rockets and were the best handling bikes I ever had . Your Mecurio looks like a bargain at that price.
