I have acquired a 1928 Ariel Model B project. Numerous parts needed. Many from models A - E are interchangeable and several overlap years 1926 - 1930. So if you have any taking up space let me know. Thanks. Ray

You must be brave to take that on. Do you need a headlamp?  I have a very nice correct one for your bike and many other late 1920's bikes !  Also have a tank oil pump sight gauge and several silencers and Brooklands cans, reverse control levers, and probably other items. Trade for Pre 1954 Indian parts ?

Thanks for the link. What an amazing array of parts available.  A lot of  previously unobtainable items are being made in the former Czechoslovakia.

Hi Ian. There are lots of parts available in Europe for these bikes, both new and used. However, it is a bit of a hassle importing so I would prefer to buy closer to home, and deal with CVMG members if possible.

I don't have any hassle importing parts from Slovakia, Austria or any other European county.

They all put Vintage parts of the custom form and 90% of the time it arrives at my door GST tax free.

My 31 VF is rare here in Canada and there was no way of finding parts for it here.

    Yours is even rarer.

According to the Ariel books only 12 VFs were imported in 1931 to Ontario.

    Mine is the only survivor.

My VF was in the same shape as yours.

My restoration  came to a halt many years ago when parts I needed were NA here.

Thanks to the Slovac club and the UK Ariel Club I finished my VF.

I wish you the best in your restoration, not many old Ariels left !

Thanks Ian. I am getting lots of advice and help from members of the AOMCC and affiliations in Europe. They are a great resource, along with the good folks at Draganfly. It's not so much the buying ang importing of used parts from Europe/rest of the world that I find challenging, it is the fact they cannot be seen or inspected beforehand. The reported condition of used parts can be very subjective and photos misleading, even if not intentionally. If a part is heavy and expensive and you have paid taxes on it and needs to go back that is an expensive hassle.
