I have a timing cover package for the Triumph T140ES (Electric Start) that is now surplus to my requirements. I believe these are also compatible with those used for TSS and TSX models.

It is BARE, and consists ONLY of :

(1)    the major basic alloy casting “Timing Cover 71-7500”

(2)    the smaller aft “Cover – Starter Motor 71-7327”

(3)    the finned “Cover – Pulse Sensor 71-7159”

This package DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY of the components that would comprise the starter mechanisms. You must pursue all of those parts in order to have functionality. I have attached some extracts of the T140ES Parts List which help to identify the scope of that task. If you were never able to find those parts, there’s still a chance that this cover could replace that on your own T140, allowing you to “pimp your ride” and pretend you had a fabulous ES model ! No guarantees though – I don’t know. (You'd need to at least deal with the difference between the stock T140 intermediate wheel spindle (70-0375?), and that used on the ES (71-7709?).) The exterior has been damaged in the past, and this has been repaired. It is believed that the bike it was on tipped over onto its right-hand side, which scraped the timing cover exterior surface, and knocked off the front oil pressure switch. A re-weld repair was done that included an alloy turned and internally threaded insert (1/8x27 NPS, parallel). It has not been used or tested on an engine after repair, but appears sound enough to be used. A good effort was made to eliminate scratching where possible, and is quite presentable as is. Some more buffing should bring everything up to be very nice.

This (bare) cover trio can be found in UK for around 225 GBP (plus tax, shipping, duty, other charges), and in US for $450 (plus tax, shipping, duty, other charges). So, you’d be looking at a pretty penny after having landed it all from abroad.

Asking $120 CDN, plus shipping cost (CANADIAN DESTINATION ONLY please, weight 1.82Kg w/o packaging, location Montreal). Would fit inside Canada Post’s medium size flat rate box ($25, plus tax, plus any other charges).
