BMW R26 for sale

For sale:    I have three  BMW R26 bikes and plan to part with one or two of them this spring.

I am really good at buying bikes... but not good at the selling part !

With 9 old bikes in my garage now and 2 on my work-bench with engine out I realize that something must go. The following is an outline of these three bikes.

    1) 1956 R26 in original paint; part of a 40-machine special order by Butler & Smith for the US market...possibly the only one of that batch left ? VERY low mileage. A daily rider for me in Toronto for a year about 2010 then sold on. Recently  came back to me when my friend sadly passed away.

    2) 1957 R26: restored 2008 in California. I imported 14 years ago and drove for a year or two. It also went to my friend and came back to me from his estate. Medium mileage: refinished/restored and very clean. Won second prize in its class at the 2003 January International Motorcycle Supershow.

    3) 1960 R26 that came to me a recently  as part of a package deal with a R50 that I've wanted for years. The R50 I will be keeping. This R26 has not been plated since 1983 but was put away in running condition and kept in heated storage.  Will need recommissioning but clearly the previous owner  took good care of the bike.

If you wish to find out more about any of these bikes...and continue the conversation with photos, detailed history and my prices...then it is best to contact me by email at my business;  The Twelfth Fret Guitar Shop in Toronto.
