Apparently, the theme is “Women in Motorcycling” for Paris 2019.

    Yup, Al is right.

For 2019 we are recognizing the contribution of women to the sport.

Keep an eye on the CVMG News and our online presence for further updates.

While I applaud the choice of women in motorcycling, I sincerely hope that doesn't include the woman who is the most "controversial" in Canadian motorcycling. I suspect most know who I refer to.

I suspect that Paul was thinking of Ms. Marilyn (Baker) Bastedo, still involved with the CMA, I believe. since the deaths of Ron and Eve White in an airplane disappearance so very long ago.

Check out the Hall of Fame inductee...Sadie Grimm...I wrote a story about her in the CVMG mag a time ago. She won an open competition in 1914 beating all the male riders for a gold medal in 1914 in Manitoba. It's quite a story of a plucky 19 year old woman on a 1914 Indian twin. As for the other woman's name you mentioned...haven't a clue who she is....or what she did or didn't do
