FYI: No, they're scammers.
Got hit with the same thing. Called the guy back the next morning and caught him off guard. Asked me if I had a car for sale on Facebook. Then asked what year and model car. Told him I had a bike for sale but did not mention that ad was not on Facebook. He recovered partially and then said "you have motorcycle." Oh ya I like British motorcycles. Then asked what year and model. After a bit of back and forth including telling him that the make and year was in the ad, it became abundantly clear the guy had no clue what he was interested in or looking for. I figure he probably wanted to hook me into one of those E-Transfer down-payment scams.
This was his reply message to my ad:
from: “Anonymous” message: “Please Call me or message me with the price to 4168358147”
This afternoon I got another (missed) call from another scammer. The number came up as a scam on Yelp
I emailed our webmaster but says these guys change their ip address so often it is a waste of time to block them. he said he was going to post something in the CVMG News.
could go on but you get the idea...
