Ride for Dad London Ontario
Prostate Cancer Awareness
Sunday May 27, 2012
Our CVMG London Section has an excellent record of participation thanks to the ongoing guidance of Kevin "Vintage Guy" who has championed this cause that affects so many men in our age group. Thank you to all members who sponsored our riders.
Various photographs on our slide show tell the story of a journey that started out under cloudy skies at the London Fairgrounds and finished at Ski High in Bryon under a steady rain. Good stuff these pledged riders.
Club members who took part in the ride were Ron Wakeling, Kevin Ligg, Dick Philp, Brian Dalton and my cousin Tom Langrell who joined our group for the day. Kevin "Vintage Guy" and his daughter Sarah worked hard with the crew to ensure that this event went off without a hitch.
One member in particular , our own section member Ron Wakeling was called forward to the approval of all at the conclusion of this event to be recognized for his $1300.00 plus pledged donation. Well done Ron.
